First Direct Arena is the new major entertainment venue located in the vibrant city centre of Leeds, hosting live music, comedy, entertainment shows and sporting events.
Since opening in July 2013 first direct arena has already played host to international artists such as Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, Cirque Du Soleil, Stereophonics, ending the year with BBC Sports Personality of the Year.
The Arena’s unique “super theatre” style configuration is designed to enhance the arena experience, with all seats facing the stage and high quality acoustics providing the best sound experience in the UK. Spectators and performers alike, will enjoy a more intimate atmosphere with reduced viewing distances inside the venue which has a capacity of 13,000.
zencontrol supplied and commissioned a fully addressable lighting control system throughout the building. Utilising bespoke units interfacing with the central battery, the system also comes complete with auditorium scene setting and a fully configurable front end.
