zencontrol was selected to deliver a fully addressable DALI-2 lighting control system throughout the building, providing a flexible and future-proof solution aligned with the scale and ambition of the refurbishment. The installation incorporates DALI-2 Application Controllers, DALI-2 Relays, DALI-2 PIR presence sensors, DALI-2 Switch Interfaces and DALI-2 Scene Sets, creating a comprehensive lighting control infrastructure across all areas of the building.
The use of the open DALI-2 standard ensures every device on the network is individually addressable, enabling precise control, easy reconfiguration and long-term adaptability. This approach supports changing tenant layouts and evolving operational requirements while maintaining consistent performance and reliability.

zencontrol’s intuitive graphical user interface plays a central role in the day-to-day operation of the lighting control system at 155 Bishopsgate. Facilities teams can easily manage lighting scenes, schedules and system changes through a clear, user-friendly interface that removes complexity and reduces reliance on specialist intervention.
The interface also enables the scheduling of emergency lighting tests and provides access to detailed emergency lighting test reports, helping to streamline compliance processes and ensure statutory testing is managed efficiently and reliably.
Intelligent Sensors and Smart Building Integration
In addition to core lighting control, zencontrol supplied Bluetooth-enabled sensors throughout the building, supporting both iBeacon and Eddystone technologies. These sensors enable integration with the Smart Spaces platform, extending the value of the lighting infrastructure beyond illumination and into wider smart building functionality.
Using both BACnet and MQTT protocols, the system allows lighting and sensor data to be shared seamlessly with other building systems.
