Project Overview

One Embassy Gardens is the flagship commercial building within Ballymore Group’s Embassy Gardens development in Nine Elms, delivering 215,000 sq. ft. of premium office space across ten floors. Designed to provide a modern, high-performance workplace, the building required an intelligent lighting control solution capable of supporting flexible office environments, efficient building management and seamless system integration.

zencontrol was selected to deliver a fully addressable DALI-2 lighting control system, ensuring reliable operation, intuitive user control and long-term performance across the development.

The Lighting Control Solution

zencontrol supplied and commissioned a fully addressable DALI-2 lighting control system throughout the building, incorporating DALI-2 Application Controllers, DALI-2 Luminaire Control Modules (LCMs), DALI-2 Relays, DALI-2 PIR occupancy sensors, DALI-2 Switch Interfaces and DALI-2 Scene Set control panels. This integrated solution provides flexible, responsive and energy-efficient lighting control across all office and shared spaces, ensuring the building can adapt to the changing needs of tenants and occupants.

Centralised Control & System Integration

A graphical user interface provides users with an intuitive platform to schedule emergency lighting tests, generate compliance reports and make system adjustments, delivering full visibility and simplified system management.

A touchscreen controller located at reception allows users to create, store and recall lighting scenes, providing convenient control for key building areas and events.

The zencontrol system is fully integrated with the Building Management System (BMS) using BACnet over IP, enabling the sharing of critical data such as occupancy status and DALI fault information, supporting efficient building operation and coordinated system control.

Sustainability & Energy Efficiency

The zencontrol DALI-2 lighting control system supports the sustainability objectives of One Embassy Gardens by enabling intelligent, demand-led lighting operation throughout the building. Occupancy sensing, scene-based control and BMS integration ensure lighting is only used when required, helping to reduce energy consumption and operational carbon emissions.

Centralised monitoring and automated emergency testing further reduce maintenance requirements and improve operational efficiency, delivering a future-ready lighting infrastructure that supports both tenant comfort and long-term building performance.
