Lee says “I decided to take up running as a lifestyle change back in 2011 when l weighed 19 stone. I looked at my kids and thought one day that you are not going to be around to bring them up and support them the way I was going.”
Now, 6 years later and about to turn 40, Lee is down to 12 stone 12lb and counting as he prepares for the ultimate challenge through the roads of London having finally being successful in his application after 6 previous attempts.
In line with his reasons for starting to run, Lee will be running on behalf of the Make-A-Wish Foundation UK. “I am raising money for families who have been given the earth shattering news that their child is seriously ill. Make-A-Wish grants magical wishes to these families during their darkest times and I am honoured to have been given this opportunity to raise as much money as possible for this amazing charity.“
